What To Expect

Drop Off Examinations & Non-Surgical Procedures
If your pet is scheduled for a drop off examination or a non-surgical procedure such as an ultrasound or x-rays, we kindly ask that you drop off between the hours of 8 – 10 am. Please expect to spend approximately 10 – 15 minutes at drop off to provide history and contact information to one of our staff members.
If your pet is dropped off, a discharge appointment will be scheduled for you in the afternoon. If an earlier discharge is possible than your previously scheduled pick up time, we will contact you. Most drop off examinations and non-surgical procedures will be discharged between the hours of 4 – 6 pm.
Your pet will be taken out at regular intervals throughout the day. If you have been asked to withhold food and water from your pet, food and water will be provided to him or her when it is medically possible. If you prefer to bring your own food, we will feed it to your pet at no additional cost.

Surgical Procedures
If your pet is scheduled for surgery, please drop him or her off between the hours of 8 – 9:30 am. Please expect to spend approximately 10 – 15 minutes at drop off to provide history and contact information to one of our staff members. We will schedule your pet for discharge when you drop him or her off. The type of surgery and your pet’s individual recovery will determine when he or she will be discharged.
We strongly discourage visitation when there is an overnight stay associated with the procedure – we find that visitation often results in your pet becoming agitated and excited and interferes with their necessary rest during recovery.
In order to reduce the amount of time you spend at check in, you may download the surgical consent form(s) necessary for your pet’s procedure and bring them in already filled out. If someone other than the pet’s owner will be dropping off for surgery, we also ask that the owner fill out the required form(s) in advance and send them with the person dropping off.
